Family claim ‘miracle cure’ has helped disabled son

Adam Bankcroft has a rare chromosome disorder which causes a range of disabilities

The family of a disabled boy from Swansea who found himself having to sleep for around 20 hours a day, claim a ‘miracle’ cure has left him bursting with energy.

Six-year-old Adam Bankcroft has a range of disabilities caused by a chromosome problem. His condition often leaves him feeling tired and weak but after receiving a new treatment, his mother Georgina says his life has been completely transformed.

She believes the improvement is down to the Scotson Technique, a system of tiny controlled massages which help the circulation of Oxygen.

The controversial therapy was pioneered by Linda Scotson, who wanted a way to help her son Dorran who was born with a brain injury.

But the Cerebral Research Unit based in Plymouth have raised concerns about the Scotson Technique.

In a report they found no scientific evidence that it worked and were sceptical about the theory behind it.

Despite this Georgina and Steve Bankcroft believe the technique has helped their son regain some of his quality of life.
